Revise: Simple PolymersPoly(ethene), sometimes called polythene, is the example to know. Each poly(ethene) molecule contains a long chain of carbon atoms. The carbon atoms are joined to one another by strong covalent bonds, and each carbon atom is also covalently bonded to hydrogen atoms.
For a description of poly(ethene), state both that its molecules are large and that they contain chains of carbon atoms.
Do not call poly(ethene) a giant covalent lattice. It consists of separate, long-chain molecules.
