Revise: Mendeleev's arrangementAs Mendeleev worked through the mass order, he noticed that similar chemical properties recurred. He arranged the table so that elements with similar behaviour were brought together. For example, elements that reacted in similar ways or formed similar types of compounds belonged in the same family.
