Revise: Test for chlorineDampen a piece of blue litmus paper with a few drops of water: it should be damp, not soaking wet. Hold the damp end in the gas, using tweezers where appropriate, and observe the colour changes.
State that the blue litmus paper must be damp; dry paper does not provide the water needed for the characteristic changes.
