Revise: Monoclonal antibodies usesOne example is prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a protein made by prostate cells. An antibody-based test can measure its level; a raised level may prompt further investigation for prostate cancer.
A raised PSA level is not proof of prostate cancer: normal prostate cells and non-cancerous conditions can also raise it.
