Revise: Abiotic and biotic factorsOver time, this can change a species’ population size or distribution and therefore alter the whole community.
When explaining an effect, link the factor to a biological process and then to a change in population size or distribution. For example: less light → less photosynthesis → less plant growth → less food for herbivores.
