Revise: Lifecycle of a VirusIn the lysogenic pathway, viral DNA becomes incorporated into the host cell’s DNA. It does not immediately make a large number of new virus particles or burst the cell. Instead, when the host cell divides, it copies the viral DNA along with its own DNA, so the new cells carry it too.
