Revise: Global WarmingEarth’s atmosphere contains greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide, methane and water vapour. These gases help maintain temperatures high enough for life. However, levels of carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere are increasing, strengthening the warming effect and contributing to global warming.
Keep cause and consequence separate: increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane contributes to global warming; altered habitats, species distributions and extinction risk are biological consequences.
