Revise: Treatments for Cardiovascular DiseaseOne common problem is the build-up of fatty deposits, called atheromas, in artery walls. These narrow the space available for blood to flow. If a coronary artery is narrowed, less oxygen reaches the heart muscle; a complete blockage can cause a heart attack.
