What you need to know
Calculate the required storage capacity for a given set of files.
Calculate the file size of sound files using the formula: sample rate × duration (s) × bit depth.
Calculate the file size of image files using the formula: colour depth × image height (px) × image width (px).
Calculate the file size of text files using the formula: bits per character × number of characters.
