What you need to know
Explain the relationship between the number of bits per character and the total number of characters that can be represented.
Understand how character storage is limited by the available bits in sets such as ASCII (using 8 bits) and Unicode.
Explain how character sets are logically ordered (e.g., 'B' has a character code one greater than 'A').
Understand that memorisation of specific character set codes is not required.
