Component 1 Question 1: listing what you learn

The 5-mark AO1 question that opens the paper: listing five things you learn about a character or place from the first few lines, one clear point each, in your own words or a short quotation.
Keeping to the given lines and the question's focus, and answering quickly, so that the 50 minutes the paper suggests for answering Section A go mostly to the 10-mark questions.
