Graphical data representation
What you need to know
Represent data sets graphically using correctly calculated key values, covering bar charts, line graphs, time series, scatter diagrams, vertical line (bar line) charts, frequency polygons, cumulative frequency charts (both discrete and grouped), equal class width histograms, and box plots.
Construct and interpret multiple and composite bar charts, including percentage composite bar charts.
Interpret and contrast multiple data sets displayed across these diverse graphical formats.
Understand that cumulative frequency graphs can be represented as step polygons or smoothed curves, and that frequency polygons may be drawn open or mathematically closed to the axis.
Ensure the vertical axis of equal class width histograms is correctly labelled as 'frequency'.
