What you need to know
Understand that values more than three standard deviations from the mean are highly unusual in a Normal distribution (Higher tier).
Apply the empirical rule to know that approximately 95% of data lies within two standard deviations, and 68% lies within one standard deviation of the mean (Higher tier).
