What you need to know
Define a force as a push or pull acting on an object due to its interaction with another object.
Distinguish between contact forces (where objects are physically touching) and non-contact forces (where objects are physically separated).
Identify examples of contact forces, including friction, air resistance, tension, and normal contact force.
Identify examples of non-contact forces, including gravitational, electrostatic, and magnetic forces.
Understand that force is a vector quantity.
Describe the interaction between pairs of objects that produce a force on each object, representing these interactions as vectors.
